Chemicals were the second largest end use segment with a share of over 30% in 2011. The chemical industry is expected to boost the growth of CFB boilers over the forecast period due to their rapid emergence in countries such as India and China.
China had the largest installed base for CFB boilers and along with Japan and Australia accounted for over 35% of the global installed capacity in 2011. Europe and South East Asia (SEA) followed this region in terms of installed capacity for CFB boilers. India was a relatively small segment of the CFB boiler market in 2011 but is expected to witness substantial growth over the forecast period owing to the rapid development of the country.
